How We Coach

Our coaching approach is built around long-term junior development rather than short-term results. We believe children learn best in a structured, supportive environment that matches their stage of physical, technical, and emotional development.

Every programme is designed to help young players build strong foundations, develop confidence, and enjoy the game as they improve.

A Movement-First Approach

We use the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) model to guide how we coach juniors. This approach recognises that good golf technique should be built on good movement skills.

Before focusing on swing technique, we consider how each child moves, including:

Balance

Coordination

Posture

Basic strength

This allows coaching to be adapted to suit the child’s physical development rather than forcing one method for everyone.

Age-Appropriate Learning

Children grow and mature at different rates, so our coaching is designed to be:

Appropriate for their age and stage of development

Progressive and structured

Challenging but achievable

Supportive and encouraging

Skills are introduced gradually and reinforced through simple, clear learning steps so that children can build confidence and competence over time.

Technical Development

We teach sound technical fundamentals that:

Encourage natural movement

Promote balance and control

Support long-term improvement

Avoid unnecessary strain on growing bodies

Rather than chasing quick fixes, we focus on developing reliable skills that can grow with the child as they mature physically and emotionally.

Learning Through Practice & Play

Sessions combine:

Skill-based coaching

Movement and athletic activities

Games and challenges

Simple on-course learning

This helps juniors stay engaged while developing both their golf skills and their overall athletic ability.

Mental & Emotional Development

We believe junior golf development is about more than technique alone. Our coaching also supports:

Confidence and self-belief

Focus and concentration

Emotional control

Positive attitudes to learning and competition

Children are encouraged to take pride in their effort, progress, and behaviour, not just their results.

Safe & Supportive Environment

Our programmes aim to provide:

Clear structure and expectations

Positive communication

Respect for each child’s individuality

A safe and encouraging learning space

We work closely with parents to ensure children feel supported both on and off the course.

How to Get Started

Every child begins with an initial assessment to help us understand:

Their current skill level

Their movement ability

Their learning needs

The most suitable programme for them
